Facebook Hackathon: Nissan Pocket Dealership
We entered a global competition called the Facebook Hackathon. Out of over 400 applicants, we were one of only eight teams that won. We got to present our idea to the Facebook Creative Council during Ad Week in New York.

The Idea:

What if you could learn about a car without ever going into a dealership? Using the Facebook Camera's AR capabilities, you could. The program would launch from mobile Nissan Facebook ads, and open your Facebook camera. Start by lining up the nameplate of the car that appears on screen with the nameplate on the physical car. The car's nameplate serves as a glyph to launch the AR program. Once locked on the glyph, animations will appear around the car. As you walk around the car and pass animation thresholds, you'll see new features displayed through your screen.

Facebook liked the idea so much they gave us a grant to make it happen.
